Pet Health and Chinese Medicine

Dede will teach participants about the safe and effective use of Chinese Herbs/Formulas for the treatment of our pets, alternatives to the overuse of antibiotics, pain relievers, and Rimadyl.  This course will also cover animal diagnosis according to 5 Elements, 8 principles, tongue and pulse. 

 

In addition, the course will cover specific animal pathologies, symptoms and treatment with detailed handouts, for topics including: 



  • Respiratory
  • Dermatological
  • Digestive
  • Urological
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Neurological
  • Behavior
  • Infectious diseases
  • Liver disorders 


If you have a cat or dog that you would like to discuss, please bring along a symptom picture to use as a case study.  We will have dogs in the classroom to evaluate.

Speaker Bio: 

Dede Barry, L.Ac. graduated from CSTCM in 2001. She is a private practice certified NCCAOM practitioner in Denver. She has worked with Dog Rescue groups for over a decade, and Vet referrals for the treatment of pets.
